Ghost Town, in collaboration with Rinse FM, launch Rinse’s debut event in Coventry on October 9th, at HMV Empire, with Skream (extended set), Emerald and Tom Shorterz. Pirate radio stations have become hallmarks of the UK’s bustling music scene, but none of them would exist without Rinse FM, founded 25 years ago in East London.

Pirate radio is synonymous with Rinse FM — and for good reason. Even if you’ve never listened to Rinse before, its legacy will have touched you: UK funky, grime, dubstep, Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Skepta, even local MCs who became international pop stars overnight — all of them first reached audiences thanks to Rinse FM’s airwaves. With that thought in tow, Rinse and Ghost Town invite you to be part of that heritage for one night only. Now an established radio station after receiving a broadcast license in 2011, Rinse FM has gone from underground to overground, still championing the latest in UK and world music. Ghost Town can't wait to share the party with Rinse FM, bringing you some very special guest DJs along with it, celebrating 5 years of Ghost Town.

Rinse FM DJs and Ghost Town residents will hammer down the latest cuts to a brand-new Coventry dancefloor, as well. The new HMV Empire venue plays host to the evening’s antics, based on Hertford Street, in the heart of the city centre. The site was formerly the ABC Cinema - once steeped in history, the site has re-emerged more vibrantly as one of Coventry’s leading music venues, housing world class production facilities, and embodying the beating pulse of Coventry’s cultural scene.
